Lately it’s been a bit crazy with stuff to do at home. Been alternating between quilting and sewing clothes. Yesterday, finally gotten down to basting our huge ‘Anniversary Quilt’. The quilt top and backing were all done a couple months ago but just wasn’t inspired to work on it until late yesterday afternoon.

Found little treasures on the local online shop, just by accident… Little towels with Liberty of London fabric accents. Kids love having little towels to wipe their sweats during the summer so got a few of these for only US$1.00 each. An interesting voile with nobbly bits. This is going to my stash though I’ve already thought of using this for the Sis Boom Patricia Tunic pattern or maybe not…

A few things on my list… Elsie Marley hosted a Kids’ Clothes Week Challenge last week… I wish…. I’d known earlier in the week and I would have gotten on to the challenge. Maybe next time… Fabric scrap basket for my growing number of fabric scraps Hand quilting our Anniversary Quilt using this as inspiration All cut, needs to be sewn: Ice Cream Dress and Bubble Dress 2010 Need to try this deodorant or alternatively this before summer heat in Shanghai starts…yikes! Need to make a ‘house warming’ quilt based on this inspiration, for our “ayi” whose been with us for almost 9 years! Difficult to find trusted help in…

The other weekend, I finally managed to overcome my sewing problems with sewing knitted cotton. So I was just to glad that I managed to finish the 4 knickers that has been haunting me for weeks. (I actually had 5; 2 for my little girl which unfortunately got caught in my sewing machine and ended up having this big hold in the back!) These had been cut but because I had problems sewing one, I decided to leave these unfinished.

These days, I just feel like the days go so fast with each waking moment spent doing something. I guess you can say never a dull moment. So many things to do and projects to start on top of the usual 10 hours at work a few evening hours during the week and full days with kids on the weekend. This will probably be the last couple posts before Blogger stops supporting my blog on 01 May, and before Simon gets round to moving my blog to our own blog system.

Ever since I saw this post from Dana Made, I just knew I had to make some for my twins as I still had some in my stash. The first one turned out alright though not perfect as I was still trying to get myself acquainted with sewing stretchy fabrics. Then I decided to make 2 as I really want to make the shirts even better. There is also a helpful tip from Omni Creates which is quiet helpful. So 2 shirts later, I had 2 broken ballpoint needles and 1 bent one….

It has indeed been some time since I managed to blog just about anything. For some reason when December started, we got swamped with work which is great of course, as it made up for the very slow beginning of 2009. So I’ve been trying to find little pockets of time in between work and weekend with the kids to do something. Our Christmas presents for the family unfortunately still has to go out! It’s awful and I’m fortunate my family has been quite forgiving about the lateness. I guess they get to have Christmas all over again… the gifts will finally and definitely will be out this week and I’m…
