As I’m writing this post (albeit a late one), I am still feeling like it’s all surreal, to be having a solo exhibit… #documentinglife has become something of a mission after I discovered digital scrapbooking when I just had kids. It became a way for me to capture those every day little moments in Shanghai as a family that is fleeting yet too precious not to eternalize. Eventually, it grew into a hobby that drives me to find inspiration even from the simplest things in everyday life, and also an effective medium for me to soak in the unique aspects of a new place visited. In a blink of an…

Typically I would have my Project Life all planned out for the following year by December of previous year. This year was rather different as I wasn’t sure which format to do. After so much deliberation, I decided to stick with the 9×12 size instead of changing to 6×8. With that decision, I finally got my 2016 all finished a couple days ago. Yipee! I went directly to starting/catching up on the 2017 spreads before I get sidetracked again. And now to share with you my 2017 pages. This year’s title page is easier to put together because I actually did a series of shots of everyone in the household.…

Amyways, I thought I’d share a little free printable for you, one that I plan to use in my Project Life albums and in my planners. Just simple brush scripts to say hello to 2017 and goodbye to 2016. Finally, I’ve finished the new set of weekly title cards (4×6) which you can use on your Project Life album or other scrapbook project. UPDATE: I also now made a 3×4 size because I am changing my PL size for 2016 + NEW SET of cards that starts on Monday. These are still formatted to print on a 4×6 cardstock so you can print 2 in a sheet, you just need to cut the printed card in half. This year is my 6th year of doing Project Life. I have come to a point where I am re-thinking about the size of the album. I am thinking of going to a…

This is going to be a photo-heavy post because I just found out that I forgot to do a post on my Project Life spreads spanning May, June and July before I went to the Philippines a couple weeks ago! So here they are… I’m loving these chipboard stickers from the Ali Edwards Story Kits which I am trying to hoard! For week 26, I had to include an extra page to fit in photos I did not include in the travel journal. Week 27 is only 1 page as this ends my Volume 1 of my 2015 Project Life. Somehow this volume is not as thick as my previous…

A few more weeks and summer is here! Time seems to go by faster these days. Sharing finished Project Life spreads which I’ve forgotten to post! 🙁 Did I tell you how this project still is my favourite? Week 15 coincided with Easter and the Tomb-Sweeping holiday and mid-term exams, working on quilt tops and art journals. A busy week indeed. Week 11 is about the art contest the kids’ joined as well as their Spring field trip to Sheshan. It was interesting to see what photos Samuel brought back from the trip; Audrey forgot to bring her iPod hence the photos were from her teacher. I managed to insert…

Days seem to be passing me by in a blur! I’m typically mostly caught up with Project Life but it’s getting the photos done, editing and creating a blog post that seem to take me longer to do. Anyways, here are my March pages. April is almost done and will take advantage of the Labour Day weekend to do the blogpost. Week 10 is mostly about new school semester and new routine which made it a hectic week so did not a lot of chance to take photos. Week 11 is mostly trying to adjust to the new routine, getting back into school life (which is typically packed with homework),…

Weather for taking photos has not been optimal these past few weeks hence I’ve not gotten around to posting and sharing my Project Life pages. March pages are almost done and will try to share those soon. How are you doing with your Project Life? I used a lot of Ali Edwards’s Gathering and Firsts Story Stamps and stuff from everyday lives. Thanks for looking.

One of the key reasons for restarting my blog was to share more of my Project Life spreads instead of via Instagram. I thought I’d do it on a monthly basis. The January spreads were finished a couple weeks ago but have been busy with work and trying to find the right weather for taking photos (today turned out the opposite as yesterday’s weather but wanted to get these up). So here goes: You can still download the title cards here.
