This is a 3-part series showcasing the travel albums that are currently on exhibit at the Shanghai Mass Art Gallery (上海群众艺术馆) in Shanghai. You can also read more about this event at the Postcrossing blog. Finally, the last installment is a very mini travel journal. This was documenting our trip to the Silk Road, specifically Dunhuang. This destination has been in my bucket list for almost 20 years! Yes, I have been dreaming of visiting Dunhuang ever since I started studying Traditional Chinese Painting in Tianjin’s Nankai University back in 1994. My classmates showed me photos of when they went, the paintings on the caves, what they had painted and…

You can also read more about this event at the Postcrossing blog. This second post is about the our trip to the Philippines. Originally we were to go to my hometown Tacloban City, but Typhoon Haiyan/ Yolanda happened and we could only get to Manila. Wow! What a week! The big full week is over. The Week in the Life project by Ali happened at exactly the same time. A big challenge to juggle all the documenting with crazy work schedule, but looking back at the week, it was actually great. The project allowed me to document one of the rare sort of week we have had so far.

Yesterday morning, I finally got around to taking photo of my travel album. Since I’ve finished it a few weeks ago after our trip, I’ve been flipping through it over and over again. I so so so LOVE this album because it has allowed me document the trip easily and made the trip even more memorable.

Back in January, been thinking of something I could make for my family as a little Valentine’s present. And then voila! I found Freckle Photoblog via Ali Edwards’ blog and instantly I knew it was the perfect project for someone as busy as me.

Finally managed to get a chance to take a photo of my recent book acquisitions 🙂 We’ve hardly bought books last year more because of the shipping costs. We typically order from Amazon as we don’t usually find books we like at the bookstores in Shanghai esp. when it comes to crafts and cooking.
